Window Well Replacement and Drainage Improvement in Surrey

This project focused on replacing the existing window well to improve drainage and protect the foundation. The old materials were removed and properly disposed of. We cleared excess soil and debris to create six inches of space below the window and added clean stone to help water drain away effectively.

A new window well was built using treated lumber for strength and durability. A drainage mat was installed along the exterior to guide water away from the foundation, and the top edge was neatly finished with a mould strip. The area was then backfilled with the existing soil for a clean, secure finish.

These improvements help reduce the risk of water buildup around the window and provide long-term protection for the home.

Removal and remaking window wells

-Rotten window wells were removed and rebuilt with new treated lumber.

-Redirect downspouts to catch basins to help keep as much water away from the house.

From Worn to Weather-Ready: Window Well Rebuilt

We completed a window well improvement project to help with drainage and overall appearance. First, we removed the old window well materials and cleared away any excess soil and debris to create proper space below the window. We then added clean stone at the bottom to help water drain away properly.

Next, we built a new window well using treated wood and installed a drainage mat along the outside to help guide water away from the foundation. The top of the mat was neatly finished with a trim piece to keep everything secure and tidy. Once everything was in place, we used the original soil to backfill the area, leaving it clean and functional.

Hidden Water Control Upgrade Beneath the Crawl Space

This project focused on improving water management in the crawl space by installing an interior drainage system beneath the floor. The new drainage line was connected to the existing drain tile system to help collect and direct water away more effectively.

To complete the installation, the existing crawl space liner was carefully rolled back and then resealed and taped once the drainage system was in place to maintain a proper moisture barrier. An access port was also installed to allow future maintenance and inspection of the system.

In addition, sections of the wall were rough cut as shown in the project plan to allow for the drainage installation.

These upgrades help improve water control, protect the crawl space from moisture buildup, and support long-term foundation protection.

Window wells

We replaced old window wells with new, durable systems to improve drainage and functionality. First, we removed the old materials and cleared excess soil and debris to create clearance under each window. Clean stone was added for a stable base, and new treated lumber was installed to form the window wells. We added drainage mats on the exterior and finished them with mould strips for proper water management.
