What have we done in this house?
-The galvanized mesh was laid on the crawl space dirt floor with a coating of concrete to prevent rodents from tunneling into the crawlspace.
-Insulation to help keep the house warmer.
-Cleanspace vapor barrier was installed to help with the musty smell and to help control a highly humid crawlspace.
-Drain Mat was installed to help protect the vapor barrier. It will also allow water to pass under the liner
We reinforced the crawl space by installing a steel support system designed to stabilize the floor joists and beams. This included adding a solid steel base on the concrete footing, a steel beam for extra strength, and a joist stabilizer to keep everything secure and level.
This project focused on making the crawl space drier, cleaner, and more energy-efficient. We installed a full liner system and sealed it carefully around footings, piers, and along the foundation walls to help keep moisture and outside air out. A drainage layer was added underneath and extended up the walls to help manage ground moisture and improve durability.
New insulation was installed along the walls and in the rim joist areas, with all seams sealed to reduce drafts and prevent moisture issues. Old materials were removed and properly disposed of as part of the process.
Overall, these upgrades help protect the crawl space from moisture, improve comfort, and support a healthier home environment.
We installed a heavy-duty SmartJack to support the floor and stop it from sagging. There was a cracked wood beam, so we fixed it by attaching two new boards on each side to make it solid again. Then we added a strong laminated beam to help carry the weight and keep everything safe and stable.
We started by adding a drainage system to capture any water before it becomes a problem. To keep the crawl space protected, we installed a reliable pump system with an airtight lid and alarm for extra peace of mind. We also included a backup battery system, so even during a power outage the space stays dry and protected. Outside, we set up a discharge line to safely carry water away from the home. At the end of the line, we added a discreet outlet that blends in with the yard and an overflow protection feature to prevent flooding in case the line ever gets clogged or frozen.
