This project focused on strengthening and stabilizing a foundation crack. Reinforcement stitches were installed along the crack at regular intervals to help secure the area and prevent further movement.
A high-strength fiber reinforcement with epoxy was then applied over the crack to create a durable, structural repair.
This solution helps restore the integrity of the foundation, prevent future cracking, and provide long-term stability for the home.
In this project, we started by sealing up some foundation cracks to prevent water from getting into the home. After making sure the area was clean and smooth, we tested it from the outside with water to confirm everything was sealed properly. We also cleaned the space thoroughly, removing debris and vacuuming it.
Next, we installed a new drainage system under the concrete floor. We dug a trench, placed a pipe to carry water away from the home, and then poured new concrete to close it back up, leaving the area neat and secure.
We also installed a new pump system to help remove any water that might collect under the home. It includes an alarm to alert the homeowner of high water levels.
To wrap up the job, we sealed the crawl space with a heavy-duty moisture barrier, going partway up the walls. This helps control humidity, improves air quality inside the home, and protects the overall structure.
What have we done in this house?
-The galvanized mesh was laid on the crawl space dirt floor with a coating of concrete to prevent rodents from tunneling into the crawlspace.
-Insulation to help keep the house warmer.
-Cleanspace vapor barrier was installed to help with the musty smell and to help control a highly humid crawlspace.
-Drain Mat was installed to help protect the vapor barrier. It will also allow water to pass under the liner
We reinforced the crawl space by installing a steel support system designed to stabilize the floor joists and beams. This included adding a solid steel base on the concrete footing, a steel beam for extra strength, and a joist stabilizer to keep everything secure and level.
This project focused on making the crawl space drier, cleaner, and more energy-efficient. We installed a full liner system and sealed it carefully around footings, piers, and along the foundation walls to help keep moisture and outside air out. A drainage layer was added underneath and extended up the walls to help manage ground moisture and improve durability.
New insulation was installed along the walls and in the rim joist areas, with all seams sealed to reduce drafts and prevent moisture issues. Old materials were removed and properly disposed of as part of the process.
Overall, these upgrades help protect the crawl space from moisture, improve comfort, and support a healthier home environment.
