This project focused on cleaning, sanitizing, and protecting the crawl space while improving energy efficiency. The area was thoroughly cleaned by wiping down ducts and sewer lines, removing debris, and vacuuming the floor to eliminate dirt and rodent droppings. All concrete surfaces were then treated with a disinfectant to neutralize any contamination from rodent urine.
To help prevent future pest issues, wire mesh was installed at any potential or existing entry points. A new insulated crawl space access door was also installed to create a tighter seal and improve security. Finally, the rim joist area was insulated to reduce heat loss, improve comfort, and help keep moisture and drafts out.
These upgrades help create a cleaner, healthier, and more energy-efficient crawl space while protecting the home from pests and long-term damage.
