This project focused on transforming the crawl space into a cleaner, drier, and more energy-efficient space. We began by removing old fiberglass insulation, loose debris, and spider webs, while cleaning the heating ducts and sewer lines to improve the overall condition of the crawl space.
A durable moisture barrier was then installed and carefully sealed around the footings, piers, and foundation walls to help block moisture and outside air. A drainage layer was added beneath the liner to help manage ground seepage and provide long-lasting protection.
To improve comfort and energy efficiency, new insulation was installed along the foundation walls and in the rim joist areas, with all seams carefully sealed to help reduce drafts and moisture infiltration.
The result is a cleaner, drier, and better-insulated crawl space that helps protect the home from moisture while improving comfort and energy performance year-round.
