Complete Crawl Space Renewal for Lasting Protection

This project focused on transforming the crawl space into a cleaner, drier, and more secure environment. We began by cleaning the area, wiping down heating ducts and sewer lines, removing spider webs and loose debris, and treating the concrete surfaces to help sanitize areas affected by rodent activity.

A durable moisture barrier was installed and carefully sealed around the footings, support piers, and foundation walls, while a drainage layer was placed beneath the liner to help control ground moisture and provide long-term protection. The support piers were also wrapped to create a more complete moisture barrier.

To improve comfort and energy efficiency, new insulation was installed along the foundation walls and in the rim joist areas, with all seams carefully sealed to reduce drafts. A new insulated crawl space door was installed to better seal the entrance, and wire mesh was added where needed to help block potential rodent entry points.

The result is a cleaner, healthier, and better-insulated crawl space that helps protect the home from moisture, pests, and energy loss for years to come.
