A Healthier Crawl Space Starts with Clean Air and Proper Insulation in Surrey

This project focused on improving the crawl space by reducing humidity, enhancing air quality, and increasing energy efficiency. We began by cleaning the space, wiping down heating ducts and sewer lines, removing spider webs, and clearing away loose debris. Old insulation was also removed and properly disposed of.

All wood surfaces were treated to help prevent mould growth, creating a healthier environment beneath the home. A dehumidifier was then installed on a dedicated stand, with a new electrical outlet added to ensure reliable operation and maintain healthy humidity levels year-round.

To complete the upgrade, new insulation was installed in the rim joist areas to reduce drafts, improve energy efficiency, and help keep the home more comfortable.

The result is a cleaner, healthier, and better-insulated crawl space that supports improved air quality, lower moisture levels, and greater comfort throughout the home.
