Transforming a crawl space for a healthier home

We start by clearing out the crawl space, removing any debris, old insulation, and the worn-out vapor barrier to create a clean slate. To keep moisture at bay, we lay down a drainage mat and secure a tough, protective moisture barrier across the floor, footings, and walls. Next, we upgrade the insulation along the walls and rim joists, sealing any gaps to boost energy efficiency. A new insulated crawl space door is installed for better access and added protection. To prevent mold, we treat all wood surfaces with a specialized solution and install a dehumidifier to keep humidity levels in check. A drainage system is also set up to handle excess moisture. Finally, we reinforce the structure by installing adjustable support jacks to stabilize the floor joists. The end result? A cleaner, drier, and stronger crawl space that improves air quality, insulation, and the overall durability of your home.

Crawl Space Clean-Up and Encapsulation in Aldergrove, BC

This project focused on cleaning, sealing, and insulating the crawl space for better protection and efficiency. The team began by wiping down ducts, removing spider webs, and clearing loose debris from the floor. A drainage mat was then installed to help manage ground moisture and create a durable, comfortable base.

A full CleanSpace encapsulation system was added and carefully sealed around footings, piers, and along the foundation walls to block humidity and improve air quality. The rim joists and walls were insulated with high-performance AirBoard panels, with all seams fully sealed to prevent drafts and moisture. The result is a cleaner, drier, and more energy-efficient crawl space.

Goodbye Damp, Hello Dry: A Crawl Space Makeover

The homeowner was dealing with a damp, musty crawl space that was causing moisture problems, energy loss, and potential foundation damage. We got to work by sealing the space to keep moisture out and prevent any more seepage. We also took care of the foundation cracks, making sure no water could get in and reinforcing the structure for added protection. The old sump pump was swapped out for a more reliable system, designed to prevent flooding and handle drainage efficiently. To boost energy efficiency, we added insulation and sealed up any gaps to keep things dry and comfortable. Finally, we gave the space a good cleaning, removing debris and dust from ducts and utility lines. The result? A dry, clean, and protected crawl space that gives the homeowner peace of mind and extra storage space without the worry of moisture or damage.

Redirecting Water, Protecting the Home: Drainage Upgrade Complete

To help improve drainage around the home, we drilled a clean opening through the foundation wall and connected our system to the existing rainwater drainpipe. This setup helps direct water away from the house, reducing the risk of pooling, leaks, or foundation damage. Everything was sealed properly to ensure a smooth and reliable connection.

From Worn to Weather-Ready: Window Well Rebuilt

We completed a window well improvement project to help with drainage and overall appearance. First, we removed the old window well materials and cleared away any excess soil and debris to create proper space below the window. We then added clean stone at the bottom to help water drain away properly.

Next, we built a new window well using treated wood and installed a drainage mat along the outside to help guide water away from the foundation. The top of the mat was neatly finished with a trim piece to keep everything secure and tidy. Once everything was in place, we used the original soil to backfill the area, leaving it clean and functional.
