Addressing the rotten structure required replacing all damaged wood and redirecting the rain leader away from the house, as it was the main cause of the damage. Additionally, we replaced the old, malodorous fiberglass insulation with new silver airboard insulation.
-Rotten window wells were removed and rebuilt with new treated lumber.
-Redirect downspouts to catch basins to help keep as much water away from the house.
We cleaned the crawlspace, upgraded the insulation, and eliminated the damp environment
Basement Systems of Vancouver helped this Surrey home owner make their home more comfortable and safe by encapsulating their crawlspace with Cleanspace and by insulating the walls with Silverglo
For this project, we focused on improving the health and safety of the crawl space and addressing a foundation issue. We treated the affected areas to eliminate mold, cleaned surfaces, and removed debris in half of the crawl space. To help control humidity, we installed a dehumidifier and air purifier. Finally, we repaired a foundation crack using a strong sealing method to prevent future leaks and reinforce the structure.
