This project focused on creating a dry, healthy, and energy-efficient crawl space through a complete moisture control upgrade. A durable moisture barrier was installed and carefully sealed around the footings, piers, and foundation walls, while a drainage layer was placed beneath the liner to help manage ground seepage and provide long-lasting protection.
To improve air quality and maintain healthy humidity levels, a dehumidifier was installed on a dedicated stand, along with a condensate pump and plumbing to automatically remove collected water. A dedicated electrical outlet was also added to ensure reliable operation.
To complete the project, new insulation was installed along the foundation walls and in the rim joist areas, with all seams carefully sealed to reduce drafts, improve energy efficiency, and resist moisture.
The result is a cleaner, drier, and better-insulated crawl space that helps protect the home from moisture, improves indoor air quality, and enhances comfort throughout the year.
We completed a full crawl space repair to address moisture, drainage, and structural concerns. A sump pump system with a battery backup was installed to manage groundwater and prevent flooding, even during power outages. The entire space was encapsulated and sealed with drainage matting to protect against seepage and improve durability. We removed debris and old insulation and treated all surfaces for mold. A dehumidifier was installed to control humidity, and new moisture-resistant insulation was added to boost energy efficiency. Structurally, we stabilized floor joists with a steel jack system and replaced a 10-foot section of rotten sill plate and rim joist, supporting the area with a steel I-beam and new framing. We also redirected exterior water flow to a catch basin to keep the area dry. The result is a clean, dry, and stable space ready to protect the home for years.
This project focused on improving drainage and protecting the area around the window well. The old materials were removed and properly disposed of, while excess soil and debris were cleared away to create proper space below the window. A clean stone was added to help water drain away more effectively.
A new window well was then built using treated lumber for long-lasting durability. A drainage layer was installed along the exterior to help direct water away from the foundation, and the top edge was neatly finished before the area was backfilled with soil.
These improvements help reduce the risk of water buildup around the window and provide better long-term protection for the home.
This project focused on giving the crawl space a thorough clean-up. We wiped down heating ducts and sewer lines, removed spider webs, and bagged and removed loose insulation from the floor and floor joists. The area was then swept and vacuumed to eliminate dust and debris.
