Upgrading the Crawl Space Entrance for Lasting Protection in Vancouver
Challenge
The crawl space entrance needed to be rebuilt to create a stronger, more secure access point. The existing area required additional support and a better seal to help reduce moisture and outside air from entering the crawl space.
Solution
The team began by preparing a compacted gravel base and constructing a new concrete curb, securely connected to the existing foundation for added strength and stability.
Once the concrete was completed, a new crawl space door sill was installed to create a solid and durable entrance. The interior moisture barrier was then carefully secured to the new curb, creating a continuous seal around the access area.
The result is a stronger, better-sealed crawl space entrance that improves durability while helping protect the space from moisture and outside air.
