This project focused on sealing the crawl space to help keep moisture out and protect the home. A full liner system was installed and carefully sealed around footings, piers, and along the foundation walls. Per the homeowner’s request, the liner was extended higher up the walls to provide extra coverage and protection.
A drainage layer was added beneath the liner and extended up the walls to help manage ground moisture and create a more durable surface.
These upgrades help keep the crawl space drier, cleaner, and better protected from moisture over time.
We added insulation to help make the space warmer, drier, and more energy efficient. The walls were covered with a special moisture resistant material, and all the gaps were sealed to keep out air, dampness, and unwanted smells. We also insulated around the edges of the floor (rim joists) to help stop cold drafts and keep the area more comfortable year-round.
We Installed the Drain tile and Triple Safe Sump Pump system, Installed Rigid insulation on the walls and end pockets, and Installed the Drain mat and Clean Space.
This project was a full crawl space transformation focused on water control, moisture, cleanliness, and long-term protection. We started by removing the old vapour barrier and insulation, cleaning ducts and pipes, and vacuuming areas affected by rodent activity. Concrete surfaces were also treated, and potential rodent entry points were sealed to help prevent future problems.
A complete drainage and pumping system was installed to collect groundwater and safely move it away from the home. Multiple pumps, including battery backup protection, provide an extra layer of security during heavy rainfall or power outages. The exterior discharge was also designed to help prevent backups caused by freezing or blockages.
The crawl space was then fully sealed with a moisture barrier and drainage layer, including around the support piers. A dehumidifier was added to control humidity, while new wall and rim joist insulation helps reduce drafts and improve energy efficiency.
The result is a dramatic improvement: a cleaner, drier, better-insulated crawl space with strong protection against water, humidity, rodents, and unexpected pump failures.
This project focused on giving the crawl space a complete refresh while improving moisture protection and energy efficiency.
We started by removing unnecessary wood framing and old insulation from the floor joists. The space was then cleaned by wiping down heating ducts and sewer lines, removing spider webs, and clearing away loose debris.
To protect the crawl space from ground moisture, a drainage layer was installed across the floor, followed by a durable moisture barrier. The barrier was carefully sealed around the foundation walls, footings, and support piers to create continuous protection against damp conditions and outside air.
New insulation was then installed along the foundation walls and rim joist areas, with seams and gaps carefully sealed to help reduce drafts and improve energy efficiency.
The result is a cleaner, drier, and better-insulated crawl space that helps protect the home from moisture while creating a more comfortable environment above.
