Photo Album: Upgrading the Crawl Space Entrance for Lasting Protection
This project focused on rebuilding the crawl space entrance to create a stronger, more secure, and better-sealed access point. A compacted gravel base was installed, and the new concrete curb was reinforced by anchoring it to the existing foundation for added strength.
After the concrete was completed, a new crawl space door sill was installed to provide a stable, durable entry. The interior moisture barrier was then securely attached to the new curb, creating a continuous seal that helps prevent moisture and outside air from entering the crawl space.
The result is a durable, well-sealed crawl space entrance that enhances both the structural integrity and moisture protection of the home.
